a. Students must maintain conduct befitting the students of an institute of national importance.
b. "Ragging in any form is prohibited and banned": acts of ragging will be considered gross indiscipline.
c. The following acts constitute gross violation of the code of conduct:
- Ragging
- Lack of courtesy and decorum; indecent behavior
- Willful damage or stealthy removal of property
- Possession or consumption of alcoholic drinks or drugs
- Mutilation or unauthorized possession of library books
- Noisy behavior disturbing others
- Hacking in computer systems
- Other acts of gross indiscipline may lead to penalties including reprimand, fines, or expulsion.
d. Disciplinary actions will be taken by the warden, head of the department, and principal, depending on the location of the offence.
e. Major acts of indiscipline will be handled by the students Disciplinary committee.
f. Appeals against major punishments can be made to the Director, Science and Technology, Govt. of Jharkhand.
